Notice on Applying for the 2023 "Top Ten Postgraduate Dissertation Awards"

All members and related units:

In order to stimulate the academic exploration and innovation spirit of postgraduates, encourage postgraduates in the field of mining to create high-quality scientific research results, promote the cultivation of high-level innovative young talents, and promote scientific and technological progress in the field of mining, the Green Mine Science and Technology Award Office has set up excellent postgraduate degrees Thesis Award (National Science Award Society Certificate No. 0265). The relevant matters related to the application for the 2023 "Top Ten Postgraduate Dissertation Awards" are as follows:

1. Scope of application

The 2023 "Top Ten Postgraduate Dissertation Awards" should be awarded to those who are awarded doctoral and master's degrees from September 2021 to June 2022. All outstanding dissertations can be applied for, or universities and research institutes that do not select excellent dissertations can apply for recommendation .

2. Application requirements

1. The topic of the thesis is centered on the frontier field of mining industry, which has important theoretical and practical significance;

2. The research results are innovative in theory or method, have achieved breakthrough results, reached the international advanced level of similar disciplines, and have good social benefits or application prospects;

3. Informative materials, rigorous reasoning, and accurate written expression;

4. The relevant main content of the paper has been published in high-quality academic journals;

5. The thesis is an excellent postgraduate (doctoral) thesis at the university level or the school does not evaluate excellent postgraduate (doctoral) thesis;

6. Those who have won outstanding postgraduate (doctoral) thesis awards from other associations (societies) are not allowed to apply.

3. Selection and awards

1. The selection of the 2023 "Top Ten Postgraduate Dissertation Awards" follows the principles of "scientific fairness, emphasis on innovation, strict screening, and preference for shortages rather than excesses";

2. To award medals to the authors of the 2023 "Top Ten Postgraduate Dissertation Awards", and to issue "Excellent Supervisor" certificates to supervisors.

4. Application materials

1. Submit the recommendation form stamped by the author's degree-granting unit;

2. Submit paper documents and electronic versions of dissertations, the contents of which must be consistent with those archived by the National Library of China;

3. A detailed abstract of the dissertation, within 5,000 words;

4. Proofs of related achievements during degree study, including published academic papers, retrieval certificates, patents, awards, etc.

5. Application time

The deadline for declaration is July 31, 2023.
